Travis and I were up and out early this morning for a trek up to Gothic Basin. The trip took us up the Monte Cristo Road for a couple miles. Then we followed an old miner’s trail up the Weden Creek drainage for about 3.5 miles. We topped out at about 5200 feet, but unfortunately we were encased in the clouds all day so not much in the way of sweeping panoramic vistas. We did however find plenty of beautiful sights along the way. Have a look at some of the images:
We we didn’t see Foggy Peak or Foggy Lake because it was too…Foggy!
