Well we’re off on another little romp in the snow today. This time Susan and I are headed up the Mountain Loop Highway to the end of the road (the winter gate) with Travis, Teresa, Booker and Remy.
Remington hiked most of the way in my front pack. Here were are looking off the bridge at Coal Creek. Travis tugged his sled along and Booker divided his time between walking, riding in the sled, and crawling like a polar bear (That makes perfect sense to anyone that knows him).
Here, get tucked under your favorite blanket, get a cup of tea, and have a look at some photos:
We tried this for starters but Remy wasn’t digging it very much. Within a few steps that little bundle of joy was strapped into my Ergo baby carrier.
We plopped down for some lunch and hot drinks. Remy hung out with Grandma Suzie for a bit while Booker and I manicured a sled track with the snow shovel. The boys took a few runs and then we started back down the trail.
Our next stop was at the base of an existing sled track that shot down from the trees and out to the road. On first glance it looked really fast, and kinda sketchy. It proved to be both of those things.
Of course Remington fell asleep in my pack on the walk back. Travis and Teresa were both hoping that he would hang in there and stay awake through the hike and then maybe sleep in the car on the way home. Remy likes to scream bloody murder in the car on most rides… Yep, he woke up just as I was passing him back to his mom. Oh well.
Thanks for following along with our travels.
