Volunteer Park

Susan and I went for a little walkabout today around Volunteer Park in Seattle.  I have been in sinking deeper and deeper into “photo geek” mode lately (it happens every autumn) and I was looking forward to shooting some images of the gardens.  What a pleasant surprise when we parked right in front of the Conservatory.  Think – Victorian era greenhouse with Equatorial temperatures and exotic tropical flowers…

What a Doll

I just have to mention what a great sport Susan was throughout this whole adventure.  Every time I stopped for a photo she just stood by patiently…That’s really saying something because when I got home I realized that I had somehow managed to take 119 images!

We eventually left the Conservatory for a little hike around the park.  Our second nice surprise was the was the view from the observation platform on the top of the water tower.

From there it was a quick stop to climb on the camel at the art museum.

Well that’s probably enough photos to give you a rough idea of our day.  Hope you liked them.  Kat
