It has been a pretty blustery spring here in the Pacific Northwest. Everything is green and lush, and a little wet. That hasn’t kept me from riding my motorbike almost every day… meaning that every night I have an elaborate collection of riding gear hanging around the fireplace.
We have been blessed with a non-stop parade of hummingbirds buzzing around our bird feeder. Mostly Anna’s, who have been with us all winter, and lately some rufus hummingbirds.
With the hummingbirds becoming SO bold it was pretty easy for us to stand right next to the feeder and have these guys almost land of our noses. Above is a picture of Duke (3 years old) standing on top of the railing, patiently waiting for a little visitor to buzz in.
Everyday has had a mix of rain, clouds, sometimes a little sun… and lots and lots of birds.
How about one more picture from our walk along the Snohomish River this morning.
I shot a bit of video this morning and stitched together this little “day in the life” movie. The ukulele cover is Elvis Costello’s Alison. A classic in my book…
Ok, that’s it for now. Lots of fun stuff coming up so stay tuned. Thanks for following along with our adventures.

Very nice Jeff. I loved sitting on the deck on Camano surrounded by a variety of birds and getting buzzed by the Hummingbirds.
Nice! Beautiful shots, xo
